Sybiz Software is a developer of accounting, payroll and business relationship management software. Sybiz is Australian owned and located in Australia.[1] The primary markets include Australia, New Zealand,[2] Ireland and UK and its products are also used by customers in other countries.[3]
History
Sybiz Software was founded in 1975[1][3] to produce applications for Hewlett Packard calculators[4] by Malcolm and Pegy Boyd.[3][5] Soon after Sybiz branched out into producing ‘microcomputer business software’ and released its first integrated accounting system called Sybiz.[3]
In 1991 Sybiz received acclaim for the release of the world's first accounting program for Microsoft Windows 3.0.[6][7] at Comdex Las Vegas[3]
Sybiz was acquired by Softline in 1998 which was in turn acquired by The Sage Group plc in 2003.[1] In 2005 Sybiz returned to Australian ownership after a management buy-out.
Executive team
Grant Argy joined Sybiz Software in 1999 and heads up Research and Development.[8] Ben O’Brien joined Sybiz Software in 1998 and heads up Finance and Services.
Operations
Sybiz has a customer base worldwide including (but not limited to) Australia, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Fiji, Ireland and the UK.[9] Sybiz Head Office is located in Adelaide with offices in Sydney[1] and Auckland.
