The symbols of Colotlán, Mexico, were officially adopted as symbols of the municipality in 2023.
Coat of arms
[edit]This is the coat of arms of the municipality of Colotlán. Its meaning is “Alongside the scorpions” and it is represented by a crown at the top and a scorpion in the center of the heraldic field; the meaning comes from the Nahuatl language.

The flag of Colotlán consists of a red rectangle with a ratio of four to seven; in the center it bears the Municipal Coat of arms in gold, placed in such a way that it occupies three-quarters of the width.[1]
