The election for the 7th-term President and Vice-President of the Republic of China was held in the Republic of China on March 21, 1984 at the Chung-Shan Building in Taipei. Incumbent President Chiang Ching-kuo was re-elected by the National Assembly of the Republic of China for the second term with Governor of Taiwan Province Lee Teng-hui.

Incumbent Vice-President Hsieh Tung-min decided not to seek for his second term due to old age. The then Governor of Taiwan Province Lee Teng-hui, also a Taiwan-born Kuomintang member, was picked Chiang's running-mate. Chiang received 1,012 out of 1,064 votes while Lee received 873 votes. Chiang would later die in office in 1988 and was succeeded by Lee.
