The same race?[edit]

It's questionable whether the earlier winners of this race should be listed with the winners from 2011 onwards - the current British Champions race shares very little in common with the Diadem Stakes apart from the course & distance and time of year. Would it be better to split the two races into separate articles? --Bcp67 (talk) 10:47, 8 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I would keep it as one article. As you say it's over the same course and distance and time of year, and despite the increased prize money, attracts very much the same kind of horse. You could do a break in the table after 2010 I suppose. I think that the Champion Stakes has undergone a more radical change, but kept the same name and article title. Tigerboy1966  22:11, 8 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
