[edit]08/15 is not just the name of a machine gun. In WWII it was German army slang, roughly equivalent the the American word "chickenshit," meaning excessive regimentation about trivia. The term "chickenshit" describes things that are like bullshit, but are much less important. 08/15 was a rough equivalent because German troops spent a lot of their training time just disassembling and reassembling the model 08/15 machine gun. 2600:1702:44C0:9FA0:29E1:BC86:346A:1DDC (talk) 15:51, 2 September 2023 (UTC)
