There is something odd about the playoffs. There is more than one case where the two legged aggregate score was a draw, there is no mention of penalty kicks, away goals is tied, & yet someone is declared to have won promotion. I thought someone just forgot to include the penalty kicks until I viewed [1] & noticed they end it without penalty kicks. Do they just go by better regular season performance? Is that common in Europe? Italy? Promotional playoffs elsewhere? Kenallen (talk) 20:16, 30 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The main page, Lega Pro Seconda Divisione, discusses the rules. Basically, the away goals rule is not used. In the semi-finals, if an aggregate tie exists at the end of the second leg, the higher classified team is declared the winner. In the playoff finals, if the two teams are tied after regular play, 30 minutes of extra time is played, and if the tie persists, the higher classified team is wins. Penalty kicks are not in taken in either round.Juve2000 (talk) 20:27, 30 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
