Moonlighting
[edit]Henderson and Sutton have victories at the Bay Classic this season, but not under the auspices of Sky. To be included? Kevin McE (talk) 12:44, 10 January 2010 (UTC)
- My rule of thumb in building past season pages was to include it if they wore the team's jersey (i.e. Cascade Cycling Classic counts for 2008 Astana season, but not Tour of the Gila for 2009). Though riders have certainly been seen in their new jerseys, no one's yet riding as a member of their ProTour team. I would not want to include it. I would also be against including national championships, though Severo put those into the Astana articles. Nosleep (Talk · Contribs) 19:08, 10 January 2010 (UTC)
- The photos of the Australian championship showed Meyer clearly wearing a Garmin jersey, so can he be said to already be riding as a member pof his proteam? I was against including national championships in team articles, on the basis that (for example) Dan Martin had no Garmin team-mates to help him win his title, but consensus was against me. - Well, do race reports have consider them to be riding as members of their ProTour teams? The shirt on their back isn't so much the distinction, it's whom (if anyone) they're representing in the race, as in the above examples with Astana (the only Astana riders in the 2008 Cascade Cycling Classic were Leipheimer and Horner, but they were registered as Astana). Personally I would include them, but put a note that they were riding under the colours of mazda etc. Technically they were contracted to team sky. They were not wearing team kit as the kit was not launched yet, etc (they were asked not to compete in the nationals for similar reasons). I would include it but note they were representing mazda etc.
- On seperate note, good job adam on keeping this page up to date. Dave/teamskyfans. 90.215.238.184 (talk) 00:37, 10 May 2010 (UTC)
