The full review should be up on Tuesday. Nonetheless, I see a lot of copyediting that needs to be done such as:

  • On the 42nd lap, Jamie McMurray pitted, as Burton moved up to the third position. Mind if you change this, as well as all the others, from "the example position" to "example place" or just the position? "The example position" is bad English in my opinion. good888 (talk) 14:30, 22 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • I would perfer "place", but if the FA uses "position" then we might as well keep it that way. Anyway, this is the full review:
  • I'll keep that in mind in the future; I personally see nothing wrong with "position", but I certainly respect your opinion and know there is nothing wrong with "place" either. It just seems to me that once a report is written out already, it's a bit much to change. Still, thanks for the review! --Bentvfan54321 (talk) 14:22, 23 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Lead section

  • Add what the attendance was and how many watched it on TV.

Report

Practice and qualifying

  • "Clint Bowyer, Kurt Busch and Tony Stewart rounded out the first ten positions." I would perfer the top ten positions rather than first.
  • "Burton was fifth quickest, with a time of 29.385 seconds. Hamlin, Greg Biffle, Martin Truex, Jr., Kurt Busch, and Ragan rounded out the first ten positions." See above.

Race

  • Add an image of Kevin Harvick, the winner of this race.
  • "Two laps later, Mike Skinner collided into the wall." Rewrite to "Two laps later, Mike Skinner also collided into the wall."
  • "David Stremme retired from the race three laps later." Reason why?
  • That's called a start-and-park; small teams without a sponsor or a lot of money will often retire before the end of the race to save tires, avoid the risk of wrecking the car, etc. I've actually just minus Removed it since it really is not that notable, anyway.
  • "Afterward, McMurray passed Jeff Gordon to take over tenth." Do you mean afterwards? Or am I mistaken?

Post-race

  • "Today we were lucky. We didn’t have a spectacular night, but to be in victory lane says a lot about this Budweiser team." Mind if you link Budweiser?

Results

  • Add an image of the championship leader Carl Edwards.

I will promote once these are addressed. good888 (talk) 12:13, 23 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
