Creator's Feelings

[edit]

I've work through the page today and have added references but feel free to mention anymore problems you may have. I feel, and I'm sure you do too, that the changes are good enough that you can avoid deletion. 86.18.2.123 (talk) 23:22, 15 March 2011 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Daff4555 (talkcontribs) 22:41, 15 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry but, in my opinion, the creation of a stand alone article for a final of a schools competition fails WP:N. The content is already covered in the main article and is simply a restating of information already on record. I will wait for AfD to play out.Weejack48 (talk) 23:44, 15 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I intend to go to the final and the page will improve after the final inform readers of what happened, so weejack48? bear with me. Daff4555 (talk) 22:08, 16 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Wiki is not a journal/blog.Weejack48 (talk) 08:45, 17 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I was just telling you so that you would leave me alone, my your grumpy! Daff4555 (talk) 17:14, 19 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

There are a couple of conventions that you should check up on if you are to continue on wikipedia for any length of time. Firstly, familiarise yourself with WP:CIVIL and WP:NPA, you could head towards a block if you bad mouth other users. Never read your own intonation into the written word, that is just your own interpretation. Wikipedia is about collaboration and you can never assume ownership of a particular article. Secondly, maybe you should take some time to read WP:Newbie as I realise you do not have much of an editing history here. I have made clear that I do not consider that a single final merits its own article, that is an opinion gained from a long editing history on here. I have seen other users attempt to create content because they feel a personal investment in the story. These are quickly removed because they fail WP:NPOV. I realise that you might feel affronted because you are closely involved and personally invested in this particular final, but you may fall foul of WP:COI because of your closeness to the subject. Sorry if this comes across as a lecture, but I know that it can take time to learn the policies on here, and as I say you cannot tell my state of mind whilst writing this. Happy editing.Weejack48 (talk) 14:21, 20 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
