The UK Independence Party (UKIP) fielded a candidate in Dukes Ward: John Lyon-Taylor, who received 390 votes. (This can be verified by viewing http://modgov.sefton.gov.uk/moderngov/mgElectionAreaResults.aspx?XXR=0&ID=75&RPID=4419417 .)
