Creation of the page[edit]

I made the page due to the fact that it states that it is a diplomatic crisis in the Main Page. Lukt64 (talk) 23:47, 21 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Page title: not a crisis[edit]

Its misleading to call this a diplomatic crisis when most of the news outlets are classifying to this as a diplomatic 'row". It has not evolved to a full-fledge crisis yet.

Initially, I wasn't even sure if we needed the page given WP:BREAKING, and because the page on Hardeep Singh Nijjar seems to adequately cover the Canadian allegations and immediate fall out. But given the subsequent events this week, I can get on board with a dedicated page.

Any concerns before I move this page to 2023 Canada-India Diplomatic Row? Schwinnspeed (talk) 12:40, 22 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

About the temporary removal.[edit]

Hardeep Singh Nijjar was not the crisis. A "See Also : Hardeep Singh Nijjar would be better. Lukt64 (talk) 17:18, 22 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Lukt64: I previously attempted to create this article at Death of Hardeep Singh Nijjar. I was told no via consensus on the talk page at Talk:Hardeep Singh Nijjar. There is consensus against this article at this time. Please don't restore the redirect again. ― "Ghost of Dan Gurney" (talk)  17:26, 22 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
A link on the Main Page Shouldn't be a redirect in my opinion. Lukt64 (talk) 17:27, 22 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
So how come mine gets redirected and yours gets on the main page???? Sorry, this is bullshit. ― "Ghost of Dan Gurney" (talk)  17:48, 22 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Because his death can mostly be linked to him. The crisis is not just him. Lukt64 (talk) 17:56, 22 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Lukt64: We can wait to redirect until this is no longer linked from the main page per the spirit of WP:CSK #6, but there is clear consensus that a separate article on the diplomatic row is not warranted at this time. @GhostOfDanGurney: neither article is "yours" per the terms of use and who created what does not matter. Keyword: “in your opinion.” Not in the consensus of other editors at Talk:Hardeep Singh Nijjar. The Kip 18:35, 22 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
