Section "Now or never"
I would like to remove this part:
The belief that this was the last chance for action seized the conspirators.[citation needed] By this time, the core of the conspirators had begun to think of themselves as doomed men, whose actions were more symbolic than real.[citation needed] The purpose of the conspiracy came to be seen by some of them as saving the honour of themselves, their families, the army and Germany through a grand, if futile gesture, rather than actually altering the course of history.[citation needed]
This appears to be conjecture and is not supported by sources or citations.
Thoughts? Objections? --K.e.coffman (talk) 18:11, 11 November 2015 (UTC)
- I think it should be removed. Not only is it conjecture, and unsupported by sources, it also seems to be written with hindsight. There was no reason for them to think the plot was futile at the time.--Jack Upland (talk) 01:48, 14 November 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks for the feedback. I will go ahead and remove it. --K.e.coffman (talk) 04:26, 14 November 2015 (UTC)
