Comcast Building?

I don't see any source verifying the name change, only that it was expected to happen. The name of the building doesn't automatically change based on who owns it, and I doubt WP:COMMONNAME would be satisfied by "Comcast Building" at this point. postdlf (talk) 05:27, 5 February 2015 (UTC)

@Epicgenius: I see you moved this back to GE Building after I had posted the question above as to whether "Comcast Building" was an appropriate title. But I actually don't think either GE Building or Comcast Building are the "official" building name, that appears instead to be "30 Rockefeller Center". And that might actually be the best title for this article... I do dispute "Comcast Building" is a thing, regardless, and even when the "Comcast" logo is placed atop the building (which it hasn't yet, correct?) that doesn't necessarily mean that it will be known as the "Comcast Building". We'd need sources to establish that, not assumptions. postdlf (talk) 22:18, 6 February 2015 (UTC)

@Postdlf: I moved it back because after doing a search of "Comcast Building", I found that there were more results for the company's services than for the building itself. On Wikidata and on other language wikis, the article appears at "GE Building", but the official name of "30 Rockefeller Center" is fine too. Epic Genius (talk) 20:55, 8 February 2015 (UTC)

The same editor has again moved the article based just on the signage and ownership change, without discussion or sources presented. I've reverted. I still can't find sources establishing that "Comcast Building" is now the common name, though with the GE logo now gone that arguably shouldn't be the article title either. I think the only proper solution at this point would be to change it to "30 Rockefeller Center", as that's unquestionably still a proper and common way of referring to the building, and is also applicable to its entire history of up to three name/logo changes. postdlf (talk) 20:40, 24 June 2015 (UTC)

Ok, I've performed the move to 30 Rockefeller Center, as that solves the problem of the signage having changed multiple times by using an indisputably valid name, as has been discussed here. Hopefully Xqbot will fix the double redirects quickly (as there are a lot of them). postdlf (talk) 18:05, 1 July 2015 (UTC)
The official name is now Comcast Building. It should be moved to Comcast Building as other buildings' articles have been when their names have changed, namely the Willis Tower. (source: 12) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Zimbabweed (talkcontribs)
The Sears/Willis Tower didn't have another viable naming option that applied regardless of the name change. We do here. Also, please see WP:COMMONNAME. And please sign your comments in the future. postdlf (talk) 04:32, 2 July 2015 (UTC)
