USAF units are never "deactivated"[edit]

Please refer to the following sources for the correct terms for organizational actions concerning organizational actions for USAF and predecessor units. "Inactivate" is the proper term, not "deactivate." Also "disband" has a different meaning which does not apply to this unit. By the way, the second reference has explicit references to the actions in this article at page 515.
