Silent Clock

[edit]

Silent Clock at the end of the episode - Jack was standing on the edge of a cliff. Silent clock tends to happen with character deaths (though not always)... not that this should be a discussion forum, but how is this supposed to be interpreted - especially considering that I've been hearing that after season 6, 24 is going to be revamped and going in a different direction. Intriguing. GambitMG 02:05, 22 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • As Jack himself said just before he left Audrey's bedside, he was "at a crossroads". So was the series. More than one member of the production staff has indicated that this was also "the end of CTU as we know it." Certainly the direction of the narrative was changing, with the mention of Chloe's pregnancy and the addition of several other things outside of the workings of CTU. 147.70.242.40 19:33, 23 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"The Car Scene"

[edit]

Should we add some information about the false spoiler in TV Guide of what's been dubbed "The Car Scene", where a "long thought dead" character was supposed to return to the show? It's been moderately controversial, and (in opinion only) drastically downplayed the impact of the season finale. Numanoid 02:18, 22 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • I'd recommend not. The "spoiler" was based on a shooting script that was leaked to the 24 spoiler sites (that's why fan/spoiler sites cannot be considered reliable sources!). The same source (which cited another shooting script) also stated that Audrey was supposed to be suffering the aftereffects of brain surgery while in China. It means that someone in TV Guide has some explaining to do to his/her editor, as the fake spoiler's inclusion calls into question the magazine's reliability in providing accurate information about the program.147.70.242.40 19:28, 23 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
