Major authors

The paragraph on and list of major authors currently follows some text about Donald A. Wollheim and Terry Carr that make it unclear exactly whose major authors are being listed — the original Ace Books, Ace Specials, or something else. Could someone in the know please clarify this? — Jeff Q 03:05, 8 Feb 2005 (UTC)

Founding date

I have a couple of references for the 1952 founding date: James A. Corrick, in "Double your Pleasure: the ACE SF double" says (p.9) "Although Ace was to become one of the largest paperback publishers of science fiction, SF had no place in its initial line. From October 1952 to June 1953, Ace published two Doubles a month, one mystery and one western." Also, see http://people.uncw.edu/smithms/D-mystery.html which gives D-01 a 1952 publication date.

Peer review

A very nicely done (and well referenced) article, but it's rather overlinked at the moment. Normally, an article will only Wikify the first occurrence of each name, e.g. Terry Carr, which helps improve readability and lower the load on the poor overworked servers :) Ahasuerus 00:57, 14 May 2006 (UTC)
