Article reads like an advert and lacks notability[edit]

1. The article seems to be an advert for Mr Sivetz' business.

2. 'Air roasting' is too general a term to use for a specific invention - most other coffee roasting techniques could be described as air roasting.

The article has been incomplete for some time. It should be deleted or re-written with a more neutral point of view. Beechhouse (talk) 11:08, 2 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Exactly. I consider drum roasting and popcorn popper roasting to be in the air roasting category, as beans are heated not by contact with hot metal but by hot air circulation. This page needs to be rewritten or merged into Home roasting coffee or deleted. Binksternet (talk) 17:08, 29 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed REDIRECT to Home roasting coffee[edit]

I propose to delete the content of this page and change it into a redirect taking the reader to the Home roasting coffee page. This article is clearly about fluid-bed roasters and does NOT include other air-roasted coffee methods such as popcorn popper, heat gun, etc... This article is biased and single-purposed; not representative or inclusive. The Home roasting coffee page addresses all the air roasting methods short of possible commercial air roaster designs that I wouldn't know about. Binksternet (talk) 05:48, 7 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Support - The article doesn't add anything and should be deleted and redirected. Coffee roasting might be better than Home roasting coffee so that commercial uses are covered, but either way, go for it. Beechhouse (talk) 11:23, 10 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It's been over a week with no objections; I'm making this page into a REDIRECT. Binksternet (talk) 18:23, 16 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
