Etymology
[edit]Should we mention something about the etymology? Ak is Kyrgyz for white, And I thought "burra" meant river but it is not listed in the dictionary (And there are few reliable dictionaries for Kyrgyz online.) "Buu" is listed by some dictionaries as meaning water vapor. The Kyrgyz Wikipedia says that "Burra" means a castrated male camel, so maybe the etymology is "The White Camel" Obviously, I am not qualified to edit this article, but maybe a qualified linguist could tell us the real etymology. The Kyrgyz Wikipedia says that Ak-Burra was the name of one of the animals Manas rode on or something. (Yes, I know Wikipedia is not a valid source, but I thought it worth mentioning on the talk page.) My favorite singer wrote a song about the river, so expanding it is top priority ;) [Everything in my bones tells me that violates some Wikipedia policy.] JohnpaulÞ (talk) 18:00, 10 February 2021 (UTC)
