Lack of sources

[edit]

Large chunks of this relatively newly created article appear to be written without any citations, in obvious violation of Wikipedia:Citing sources and WP:V. I will therefore delete some most egregious pieces of text as well as attempt to rectify the problem where I can.Axxxion (talk) 20:34, 27 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

New York Times covered bias in this article

[edit]

https://www.nytimes.com/video/world/middleeast/100000005800945/us-base-syria-isis.html

NYT has uncovered a history of pro-russian bias in this article. Go to 7:55 in the video above.

Thanks for the notice. This article seems to have had a history of Russian bias. I recently tried to neutralize all language in the article to simply reflect objective reports and sources.Thelovelyconch (talk) 21:47, 7 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Map is wrong

[edit]

Hello, the text says that Al-Tanf is located in Homs Governorate, and this is correct. However, the map (second one from above in the article, this one) shows the place in Rif Dimashq Governorate. The problem is not the location of the red point but the template used for the map: it shows the frontier between Homs and Rif Dimashq as running north-east from the point where the Jordan-Iraq frontier touches the Syrian frontier, when in fact it runs south-west of that point. It's easy to check just by looking at Google Maps. Unfortunately I'm no expert in Wikimedia templates and can't fix it myself. Ilyacadiz (talk) 14:09, 12 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

How can I find out if a person is on this site

[edit]

I've been skpying a man for 3 months now & he says he loves me but how do I find out if this man is real & how do I prove he's no scammer even though he's asked me for £4560 in the week or so he says in your infirmary xx 85.255.234.133 (talk) 19:04, 29 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If you don't know where he is and he's asked for money, that is SUS. Delete your links. 2001:8003:A070:7F00:D420:7D9B:B198:BED9 (talk) 01:13, 12 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

And hi to you, too! I thought I'd find the legal argument why the US believes their presence there is complying with the Rules based Order, but I'll probably have to wait another 40 years. Countering Iranian influence is not a legal argument. 2001:8003:A070:7F00:D420:7D9B:B198:BED9 (talk) 01:16, 12 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Original Research

[edit]

Rolf h nelson added the a citation to something he called "Kaine-Trump ISIS War Letters"

"Kaine-Trump ISIS War Letters". www.documentcloud.org. Charles Savage. Retrieved 30 March 2023.

Searching for "Kaine-Trump ISIS War Letters" brings up only this wikipedia article. I do not want to remove the U.S.'s justification for the occupation of Syria but I do not want to include Rolf h nelson's original research via his primary source. Can you (Rolf h nelson) find a valid source for the U.S.'s justification?  selfwormTalk) 05:14, 5 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I added the nytimes article linking to the publication to attest that it was published by the new york times (and thus presumably legit). However, if that doesn't solve an overall primary-source problem, feel free to remove it. Rolf H Nelson (talk) 20:10, 10 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
