POV-Intro Tag
I have added an opposing viewpoint on exceptionalism to the lead, which I believe ends POV problems in the lead. I therefore recommend removal of the tag. TFD (talk) 20:13, 23 November 2010 (UTC)
- Gregorik replaced the POV tag without discussion here, so I removed it again. Binksternet (talk) 18:51, 20 December 2010 (UTC)
- What you've added is not really a strong opposing position to AE; you simply mentioned 1960's postnationalists who were no more than a minor threat to AE; I suggest mentioning stronger opponents, stronger opinions that would counter the extensive quasi-neocon gushing that now takes up much of the lede. I'm not sure who and why deleted my additions in the first place. ᴳᴿᴲᴳᴼᴿᴵᴷ☺ᶤᶯᵈᶸᶩᶢᵉ 08:28, 21 December 2010 (UTC)
- If you believe the lead is biased then could you please explain why. "...extensive quasi-neocon gushing" is not clear and does not suggest how the article could be changed. You are the only editor who has problems with this. I will therefore remove the tag and ask that you clearly explain what issues you have, showing how the lead differs from how the subject is treated in reliable sources, before re-adding it. Also, I will remove the globalize tag. How do you think American exceptionalism should be globalized? TFD (talk) 16:16, 21 December 2010 (UTC)
