Proposed Merger[edit]

I don't see any reason why he shouldn't...Azula's got her own page, and Appa's probably had just as much of an impact on the series as she has. Although Appa doesn't say anything, there's a lot that can be drawn from his relations with the other characters, and there have easily been four episodes (The Chase, The Desert, Appa's Lost Days, and Lake Laogai) where a large portion of the storyline centers on him. If you look on Appa's section in the major secondary characters page, you'll see that there's a lot of stuff to be added anyways. If someone's willing to make the transfer, I say go for it. Agreed. Appa may have had a short story of his own recently, but I do not believe that's enough to boost him into "main character" status. H2P brings up a great point in that there really isn't much else to go off of other than the events in "Appa's Last Days" because he doesn't have much to talk about in the way of a personality, relationships, etc. Having an entire episode isn't much when put in perspective of the entire series, where the main characters have had almost 30 episodes to actively develop and grow (as opposed to serve mainly as a taxi service). I have created an article on him, using the standard for most characters. Its just a prototype so delete it if you see fit. I really won't mind. It does need serious editing though if its going to stay. Scaleylizardman 20:15, November 15 2006 (UTC)

Just as an everyday person, I wanted to comment that I thought it was odd that the live-action person was having trouble finding a reference with six legs. We have a whole classification of animals with six-legs: insects. There are billions of them. Placement[edit]

Guys we really have to do something about this page. Where are we putting it? Are we going to keep it as a main character and move him to the front page or are we going to keep him as a Major and put him on that page. Currently he is no where. I don't see how Appa could become a maim character, either. But I do see how Appa is considered a main (hehe.. aren't I witty? Lol.) character. Appa has been in every episode since the beginning of the show (...with the exception of Appa's Lost Days). Fear of Fire[edit]

The part detailing Appa's fear of fire, and discussing its origins is internally inconsistent. Are there any refferences to Appa fearing fire prior to his abuse in the Fire Nation circus? Where are these other ideas about its origins coming from.

Either way, the observations and theories aren't consistent with the definitive statement about the circus that comes later. Can someone with more information than me correct this?
