Question

[edit]

Is an Arrow security identical to an Arrow-Debreu security? If so, this page should be blanked and redirected to there. I'll do so unless I hear otherwise. Duoduoduo (talk) 17:25, 27 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

They are not identical! AD securities are traded in a spot market at time zero, for all possible contingent sequences of future states, and then there is no more trading. Arrow securities, on the other hand, are traded each period for the possible realization of shocks in the next period. However, I agree that this page should be merged with the other one, and would go further to say that they should both be merged inside Arrow-Debreu model.
