Stephan Mayer [2009-01-05]: In his award-winning novel 'House of Cards', William Cohen mentions that ABX was created in January 2007 and not in 2006!
House of Cards, Chapter 27: "The final factor was the creation in January 2007 of an index-known as the ABX index- that for the first time allowed investors to bet on the performance of the subprime mortgage market. The ABY was an index of securities backed by home loans issued to borrowers with weak credit."
