Inappropriate redirect[edit]

A number of railway, etc. articles such as Compton station, Central Massachusetts Railroad, Central Massachusetts Railroad, 1st Street station (Los Angeles Metro) and many others link here. This makes this redirect less than useful. Peter Horn User talk 18:28, 12 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

This has not been resolved. Peter Horn User talk 09:23, 21 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
The answer I think is to create a new article at At-grade which covers multiple transport types, and from there link into Intersection (road). As another at-grade crossing is a level crossing, it wouldn't make sense to have "at-grade" redirect to an article purely about roads.NemesisAT (talk) 11:12, 21 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@NemesisAT: & @SounderBruce: In the mean time I created a section Intersection (road)#At-grade railways as an interim "solution". Peter Horn User talk 14:50, 25 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
PS. Currently there are at-grade & at grade, both are redirecting to Intersection (road) which is fine for highway and road articles but not very useful for railway and railway station articles. Peter Horn User talk 15:00, 25 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@DannyS712: Your observations please. Peter Horn User talk 02:08, 27 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Peter Horn this is the third ping I've gotten from you about this. How am I connected to this dispute? DannyS712 (talk) 02:11, 27 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@DannyS712: Fair enough, I am merely seeking an independent assessment and constructive impartial criticism. Peter Horn User talk 02:30, 27 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I've gone ahead and created a disambiguation page at at-grade. Not a great solution, but in my opinion it's better than having railway articles redirect to an article on road intersections. Thoughts? NemesisAT (talk) 10:23, 27 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Jolley good Idea. We can do the same thing with at grade which is without a -. After that we need to create an article called At grade railway or else a section in Level crossing#At grade railway. More later. Peter Horn User talk 15:43, 27 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Only a single mainspace page linked to at grade, so I've just redirected that to at-grade. I'm not sure if there's much else to add to that article. Grade seperation isn't so much of an issue as the article already covers rail and road quite well. NemesisAT (talk) 16:35, 27 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
