I am redirecting this page to United Suvadive Republic as everything mentioned in the first paragraph is covered there. The second paragraph is factually incorrect as the Republic dissolved long before Maumoon Abdul Gayoom became the president. --Oblivious 03:24, 24 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
