Foreign and DOD Unit Awards

[edit]

I have reverted the insertion of foreign unit awards and Defense Department awards for the reason that these are not United States Army decorations. Unit awards issued by foreign countries may be worn by U.S. Army personnel, but are not awards of the U.S. military. The only DOD award, the Joint Meritorious Unit Award is a Federal unit award and not solely for the Army.

In addition, all foreign unit awards and the JMUA are covered under these articles:

Missing medals?

[edit]

Where is the Silver Star in the list of medals? WP article says it is still current. I think the Purple Heart is probably also current. Are there more? --68.188.183.91 (talk) 01:33, 21 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
