Could anyone add a bit to the article about the difference between the "BTFON" and "BTOpenZone-H" SSIDs? I'm puzzled why there is two -- can anyone cite a BT support article to explain the difference? I think it would be a useful addition to the article. Thanks! (talk) 10:14, 25 December 2011 (UTC)

Brand Changes[edit]

The BT Openzone brand has now been dropped (as of August 2014 at least): "BT Wi-fi is the new name for our public wi-fi service"[1], with the Openzone URL now redirecting to However, the name can still be found (as of August 2014) in BT Public Wifi Access Point names.
