An Assumption[edit]

Possibly, this page is created by a Taliban sympathizer (based on the tone of the written text). Hence, calling for a delete (or draftify). -Hatchens (talk) 02:22, 20 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I doubt the notability of the subject. —Danre98(talk^contribs) 19:21, 20 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Delete. Who created it is irrelevant to whether it should be deleted (genetic fallacy / ad-hom) (however, it may be relevant as a reason to check such an individuals other activity). I have reversed the tone; however, I still agree that it should be deleted due to lack of WP:Notability, being that the only reliable sources mentioning it seem to be a couple of media outlets reporting on Taliban propaganda.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Yaakovaryeh (talkcontribs) 05:28, 20 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
A casual Google news search shows plenty of coverage. They are notable.[1] --Marc Kupper|talk 06:05, 21 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Agree wholeheartedly with Marc. Al Jazeera, the Wall Street Journal, New York Times and other reputable publications have been covering the Badri 313. I just went through and edited the article for readability and cohesion and I didn't really notice any kind of Taliban sympathizing tone-- see the inclusion of "The Badri 313 Battalion were also reported as providing 'security' at the Kabul Airport." Quotation of security, implying rightfully so that the Taliban is not really the type to provide safety and security, I think dispels any feeling of a pro-Taliban spin. Tone aside it should not be deleted due to widespread media coverage and notability. Eggventura (talk) 21:16, 31 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
