Unfocused Tag

[edit]

I applied the unfocused tag since the vast majority of the information provided is about the BancCentral NA as a business and the owning Myers family.

The Nation Register clearly references the building as "Central National Bank". While the company that inhabited the location may have rebranded, the structure is recognized by the registered name.

Adding to the case that this page was hijacked by the bank is the fact that the address on the page was set to the current location for Central National Bank, and not the National Park Service filing. The title of the page is also reflective of a modern bank business and not the historic "Central National Bank" building per NPS filing.

None of the "significance" listed on the National Register of Historic Places Inventory Nomination Form is addressed in the actual article.

BancCentral NA hasn't been in the building for a great many years. They built a building and moved across the street. They are now demolishing their most recent building and replacing it with a newer building in the same area.
