I was going to add this to the War of the First Coalition campaignbox, but now I'm not so sure this would be a good idea. The date of the Battle of Beaumont is given as April 1794 with no precise day. Please consider that Beaumont may be the same as the Battle of Villers-en-Cauchies, fought on 24 April 1794. Villers is well documented by Digby Smith and David Chandler. If someone can find a date for Beaumont that is not 24 April, then of course, this page is OK. Beaumont Updated

I've greatly expanded this page based on accounts in a variety of sources, notably Burne, Fortescue and Coutanceau, though I've also included extracts from 1790's contemporary military memoirs in my possession.
