Confusion over Lord Alvanley
[edit]The character of Lord Alvanley is hyperlinked in the cast section to William Arden, 2nd Baron Alvanley (and the film is referred to in his article). However, according to the Baron Alvanley article, Richard Pepper Arden, 1st Baron Alvanley lived from 1744–1804. The film is however initially set in 1795. Since life peerages only pass on after death, is it possible that the film actually referred to the 1st Baron Alvanley?
If not, then perhaps a historic inaccuracy can be discussed? Unless of course it was customary to refer to a peerage heir as "lord" and the film never gave the illusion of him having been the 2nd Baron Alvanley at the time?

- He is described in his own article as a friend of Brummel's, whereas the first baron appears to have no connection whatsoever to the protagonist. Also, films like this are rarely noted for their accuracy. Clarityfiend (talk) 10:54, 7 April 2024 (UTC)
