Religious Beliefs

Grand Canyon Jump

Both Bob Burnquist and Travis Pastrana did a base jump into the grand canyon but does anyone know which one of them had the idea first? Just wondered about that. 172.178.215.197 16:03, 9 May 2007 (UTC)

The article states that bob Burquist preformed a railslide into the grand canyon. A railslide is another term for a boardslide. Burnquist preformed a 50-50 (a grind in which both trucks are on the rail), not a boardslide (a slide in which the middle of the board makes contact with the rail, and is thus perpendicular to a 50-50) into a base jump into the grand canyon. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 137.99.237.162 (talk) 19:54, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

Nationality

Mr. Burnquist is BOTH Brazilian as well as American. One does not supersede or carry more weight than the other. He has two birth certificates as well as passports, both Brazilian and American. It's quite interesting in these situations where the Brazilian media as well as their citizens attempt to give more weight, status, etc., to being Brazilian. Like you said, I think he should be described as Brazilian-American because his dad's American, he now lives in America, has an American passport and has an American accent when he speaks English. --Liquidmetalrob (talk) 22:37, 21 June 2012 (UTC)
