Separate Fitzroy link

Fitzroy needs its own entry and its premierships should not be counted as part of the Lions; this is the way the Brisbane Lions themselves consider it and it seems the most logical way. I've already created a separate entry for the Brisbane Bears and I'd like to do expand this entry in a similar way. --The Brain of Morbius 13:43, 18 Oct 2004 (UTC)

Removed Michael Voss from bronwlow medallists. This is a Bears stat, not a Lions one. If you include Voss, include Quinlan, Bunton, Smallthorn etc.

Brisbane Lions Team of the Century

... There isn't one. The team that has now twice been added to this article is not official. A Brisbane Lions Team of the Decade will be named in June 2006 but no Team of the Century has ever been named by the Lions. Please don't put it back unsourced. --The Brain of Morbius 06:36, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

Membership

I have put 27000-28000 in there for the moment as this is Bowers' figure, and thus fair definitive. I will update this with an exact figure when it is announced.--dan, dan and dan 08:34, 17 July 2006 (UTC)

Full name

The article says its full name is Brisbane Lions Australian Football Club which is styled slightly differently to every other club in the AFL (they don't have Australian). Are we certain of this? Can someone point to an source (not a WP mirror) that confirms the name? -- I@n 13:50, 23 July 2006 (UTC)

Without being able to point to an online source, all print-based publications produced by the club refers to itself as the BLAFC - for example, it's regular members-only magazine, The Lions Tale (a copy of which is front of me now), is subtitled "Official Magazine of the Brisbane Lions Australian Football Club". The name is deliberate, and I believe (without being able to point to a source as the club's official site is a more than a bit shy on this matter) a condition of the settlement between the AFL club and the soccer club formerly known as Brisbane Lions (now Queensland Roar FC).--The Brain of Morbius 11:57, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
Fair enough. Thanks Brain. -- I@n 12:14, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
If you go to the MSFA (who run the Gabba) page, they refer there [1] to the Brisbane Lions Australian Football Club.--dan, dan and dan 21:29, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
Oh, and perhaps definitively their listing in the Brisbane White Pages telephone directory reads "Brisbane Lions Australian Football Club". --The Brain of Morbius 00:46, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
You can't argue with Telstra! :-) (Much as we've all tried.)--dan, dan and dan 04:17, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
Isn't their proper name as per the back of their guernseys ? Like South Melbourne Football Club for the Swans ? "Brisbane Bears - Fitzroy Football Club" ? --Rulesfan 04:41, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
Kind of, yes. Brisbane Bears-Fitzroy Football Club is the official company name, the name under which it submits its financial reports and so on. The company's trading name is Brisbane Lions Australian Football Club, however.--The Brain of Morbius 04:52, 30 August 2006 (UTC)

Delisted Players

Where did you get this information from? I am sure Clark Keating hasn't been delisted? A reference would be good! --Wabaa 05:25, 08 Sep 2006 (UTC)

Sadly it's true, it was reported in The Age on Thursday 7 September 2006. --The Brain of Morbius 10:49, 10 September 2006 (UTC)

Changing Forums

Lionised is now folded due to the admin's decision. There is a new forum which is trying to fill it's place called Lions United. View the Lionised site for the facts. Christicehurst 09:17, 23 October 2006 (UTC)

Uh, no it hasn't folded. The forum has closed but the site remains in place. A forum may be reintroduced at a later stafe. Cheers --The Brain of Morbius 12:54, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
