I'll do this, I've reviewed 2 other articles on this topic. Anarchyte 11:00, 7 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Overall comments/Misc

This is a forum, I've just looked over it. They seem (I don't speak the language) to be referencing Wikipedia in the areas that are violated. This is fine and you shouldn't worry about this.

Lead

[edit]
  • Everything is fine here

Career

[edit]
  • In Note "a", you referenced this page. I can't find where "Front Line", "Rockman's Zone", "Space Station Defender" and "Pest Control." are mentioned. There's no second page, is there? Also, according to the reference, Whackball is spelled "Whackball".
  • The first reference references Wikipedia. Same as the 2nd. And 3rd.
  • The 6th reference references Wikipedia. So does the 7th.
  • References 11 - 13 also reference Wikipedia.
  • [...] Nate Wells found unusual. "I have never even heard of a game director doing that! That's like... an intern task," Wells said.
Wells is repeated. Shouldn't it be: " [...] Nate Wells found unusual, "I have never even heard of a game director doing that! That's like... an intern task".

Works

[edit]
  • In the video games section, all but a few are referencing Wikipedia.

I'm putting this on hold until those Wikipedia references are fixed or explained. Anarchyte 11:23, 7 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the review, Anarchyte! I just added an additional reference regarding the Menacer 6-game cartridge, but I'd like to address your other concerns:
  • The sources that you outlined don't reference Wikipedia; they reference video games, as outlined on the Cite video game template, but link to the Wikipedia article about the game.
  • The way that you phrased the sentence including Nate Wells doesn't really make sense to me. The sentence on the article makes it clear that the quote came from Wells ("Wells said"), whereas your version just follows with a quote out of nowhere, and could easily confuse some readers.
If you have any further concerns, please don't hesitate to let me know. Thanks! – Rhain1999 (talk to me) 11:55, 7 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I thought citing Wikipedia wasn't allowed, Rhain1999. Anarchyte 12:48, 7 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Anarchyte: Per WP:VG/RS, it's not. However, the article is not citing Wikipedia; instead, it's citing the game credits (see "Scene: Credits" in each reference), which supports the statements. I've used this method multiple times in the past (including on an article that you reviewed for GA). – Rhain1999 (talk to me) 12:50, 7 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Rhain1999: I think I'm going mad. Thanks for the help! :D - Passed Anarchyte 13:05, 7 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
No big deal; it was just a simple misunderstanding. I don't think using a video game as a reference is a very common thing, anyway, but I was left with little choice. Thanks for the review! – Rhain1999 (talk to me) 13:07, 7 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
