Customer-premises equipment

[edit]

This is listed twice - 4th and last, and they are referring to the same thing. I was trying to think of a decent/"flowing" way to combine them, but the stuff I'm coming up with sounds stupid... anyone else...? Like:

Customer-premises equipment, a term used in telecommunications, generally referred to telephones, DSL modems or cable modems, or purchased set-top boxes for use with communication service providers' services. Also a terminal connected with a carrier telecommunication channel.

Doesn't sound great to me, (more just tacked on than really merged) but...(?) --UnRheal (talk) 18:06, 11 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
