"Background" Section: Define "Stood-up"

In January 1920, the British Army Intelligence Centre in Ireland stood up a special plainclothes unit of 18–20 demobilized ex-army officers...

I recognize the phrase "stood up" to mean the activation or creation, or recreation of a military unit, but I doubt most people are going to know this.Jonny Quick (talk) 19:31, 29 August 2014 (UTC)
