- Lede
- " The bridge formerly conveyed Capon Springs Road" -"conveyed" doesn't seem right here.
- " It is the oldest remaining example of a Whipple truss bridge in West Virginia, and is the oldest extant metal truss bridge in the state." -belongs in first section IMO.
- Overall this is way too long and difficult to read, it needs a considerable cut to the basics without explanations etc. I'd cut it by a good third.
- Dr. Blofeld, thank you for these suggestions. I've replaced conveyed with carried, moved up the sentence about the bridge's significance in West Virginia, and cut the lede significantly. Please take another look and let me know if anything else needs to be tweaked. Thanks again! -- Caponer (talk) 01:46, 2 February 2015 (UTC)
- Geography
West Virginia Route 259 is linked here, why not in the lede?

- History
- "The technological design advances by Whipple and Murphy, in addition to further advances in steel and iron fabrication, made wrought iron truss bridges a major industry in the United States." -really? Those alone?
- "Metal truss bridges were more economically feasible and more expedient to construct than stone bridges, and could also span longer distances and provide more durability than wooden bridges.[15] Metal truss bridges were also marketed as detachable and transportable structures that could be disassembled and re-erected.[15] The metal truss bridge" -repeated metal truss bridge three times here!
- This has been remedied. Let me know what you think! -- Caponer (talk) 02:04, 2 February 2015 (UTC)
- "Capon Lake Whipple Truss Bridge was originally constructed in 1874 as part"- do we know the contractor/builders?
-See you mention them further down "The T. B. White and Sons iron bridge construction company was established in 1868 by Timothy B. White, who had been working as a carpenter and contractor in New Brighton since the 1840s." but I think from a continuity point you'd be better off getting the background and builders prior to saying it was completed. That section needs a bit of an overhaul I think in chrono order.
- "Hampshire County citizens called a mass meeting" -when was this?
- Delink ferry

- "The South Branch Intelligencer " -of where?
- Of Romney. Done! -- Caponer (talk) 01:50, 2 February 2015 (UTC)
- Architecture
- Didn't you already link wrought iron?
- Are there no other technical details available?
Overall I think the content is generally there, although it would be good if you could find more on architecture. I do think though it needs a little restructuring and copyediting/trimming before it's quite ready to improve the readability and understanding Caponer.♦ Dr. Blofeld 16:28, 1 February 2015 (UTC)

Good job! Which GA category Caponer? I can't see bridges under transport, architecture?♦ Dr. Blofeld 10:12, 2 February 2015 (UTC)
- Dr. Blofeld, thank you for taking the time to conduct this review and for passing it to GA status. I'm going to continue to pare down the text a bit, copy edit, and perhaps reorganize more chronologically. I appreciate all your assistance! The architecture category would be splendid. -- Caponer (talk) 23:43, 2 February 2015 (UTC)
