Should this article be for all CBAM or just EU CBAM?[edit]

For example should the UK CBAM (see https://www.gov.uk/government/news/new-uk-levy-to-level-carbon-pricing) have its own article or be added here? Chidgk1 (talk) 12:24, 18 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If the US makes a tariff without a national tax it would not be a CBAM but a Carbon tariff so maybe that should have excerpts from the various countries? Chidgk1 (talk) 16:31, 18 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The term CBAM in the literature is used to refer to the general policy rather than the EU implementation. For this reason, I suggest two possible courses of action:
1. The article is renamed "EU CBAM" and (optionally) a new article is written for CBAMs more generally
2. The article is amended to make it about CBAMs more broadly while still integrating the information about the EU CBAM.
Option 1 fixes the immediate title problem without requiring immediate commitment to write new material. This makes it preferable to option 2 in my opinion. Philipp.governale (talk) 08:29, 4 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
