- Add the gallery to the Article page Drew, I've moved your other image up so its in the Info box.
- If your interested in Big machines you might find the Tractor & Plant Wiki project interesting. It s not got as many rules as WP and aims to have a wider coverage than WP for things like lists of machines etc. We are lacking in photos of the monster mining stuff as non in the UK, so your welcome to add some to the articles. - BulldozerD11 (talk) 00:55, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
Transportation
[edit]I think it would be interesting to tell how this thing is normally transported over land :) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.178.132.236 (talk) 00:04, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
- Sorted out transport and put table back + added refs BulldozerD11 (talk) 00:14, 3 July 2008 (UTC)
- Around here, we don't break them down at all. They just get loaded on the back of a low-loader semi-trailer, and then take up the whole road. Police give them escort so everyone else has to get off the road. The cost of the police escort is a lot lower than the cost of disassembly. These police convoys are a very common sight around here (Blackwater, QLD, Australia). David Drew (talk) 01:17, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
Nomenclature
[edit]Unfortunately, the title "D11" doesn't define a product or product class at Caterpillar. The D11N is a separate product from the D11R, and D11T. In other size classes, this difference is clearer. The D6K and D6N are not in the same size class and are designed for completely different applications. I don't really know a better way to label the article, though. Brycecronkleton (talk) 03:34, 9 December 2008 (UTC)
