This page needs work
[edit]This page may have originally been created to promote one organization, "Look to the Stars." I've edited the page so that that reference is moved out of the introduction - it's now later on the page. I think there can be justification for a page on celebrity philanthropy, but many more citations and examples are needed. Celebrity philanthropy is NOT a new phenomenon. It's worth noting, for instance, that Patsy Cline died on her way back from a fundraising concert, back in the 1960s.
The "Implications on government and governance" needs work in particular. It doesn't make sense.
There needs to be a section on when celebrity philanthropic efforts have "gone wrong" as well.
