Notability / original research

Although this may be a notable individual, the article consists mostly of links with little substance. ttonyb1 (talk) 16:43, 29 December 2008 (UTC)

Shows signs of original research. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.96.148.42 (talk) 02:50, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

Bibliography

I have commenced a tidy-up of the Bibliography section using cite templates. Capitalization and punctuation follow standard cataloguing rules in AACR2 and RDA, as much as Wikipedia templates allow it. ISBNs and other persistent identifiers, where available, are commented out, but still available for reference. This is a work in progress; feel free to continue. Memes of Production

I think the topic on the memes of production needs to be fixed. This article makes it seem as though Mr. Coulombe is serious when he advocates "nationalizing the memes of production." This is not true, Mr. Coulombe is clearly being ironic on his podcast. Although I would edit the article myself, I am new to Wikipedia and unsure as to whether it would be appropriate to delete area in question. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kingofwhales (talkcontribs) 23:31, 21 September 2020 (UTC)

Pope Saint John Paul II

It may be that the author was seeking to be humorous, but being a serious reference work, Wikipedia should strive for accuracy. While some Popes have been canonized, John Paul II has not been. — Preceding unsigned comment added by LAWinans (talkcontribs) 18:43, 11 February 2021 (UTC)

See Canonization of Pope John XXIII and Pope John Paul II Thosbsamsgom (talk) 19:23, 11 February 2021 (UTC)

Yes? Pope John II has been canonized? KEleison (talk) 20:27, 1 March 2021 (UTC)

Reading source

What is an acceptable source for you? These are literally videos about it... KEleison (talk) 19:24, 23 March 2021 (UTC)

See WP:RS — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pipsally (talkcontribs) 19:28, 23 March 2021 (UTC)
See primary source, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nn2mYJULZzk or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qrZOve_p-MI. I can't remember which one contains about it. KEleison (talk) 19:30, 23 March 2021 (UTC)
Again, please read WP:RS. The fact you expect other people· to watch two primary sources because you can't be bother to source yourself is laughable.Pipsally (talk) 19:34, 23 March 2021 (UTC)

Perceived Conflict of Interest?

This is just information that was found on a source, also searching up Coulombe before brings up his mother's death online. She was an actor that was public after all. https://www.legacy.com/obituaries/name/patricia-coulombe-obituary?pid=174495726 KEleison (talk) 14:55, 24 March 2021 (UTC)

It's in general reference to the level of detail without reliable sources you're adding.Pipsally (talk) 15:02, 24 March 2021 (UTC)
None of the publisher type bios you're apparently pullnig this information from are really RS anyway, authors write their own puff, especially for smaller publishing houses. The Macmillan one is probably ok. Stuff like the Queen of Angels one are rubbish as RS.Pipsally (talk) 15:05, 24 March 2021 (UTC)

Also, User:Pipsally, can't sources such as his current specific religion be added according to WP:BLPSELFPUB as it marks all the questions there?

As well then I guess there should be more RSes found for this article as it is mostly publishing houses, YouTube, etc. KEleison (talk) 15:06, 24 March 2021 (UTC)

Yes, way to much of the article was based on selfpub. Pipsally (talk) 15:10, 24 March 2021 (UTC)
User:Pipsally Also, this article has to be changed up because of copyvio, as text here is explicitly copy and pasted. https://copyvios.toolforge.org/?lang=en&project=wikipedia&title=Charles_A._Coulombe&url=
