2 DSOs?
The article makes it sound like he was awarded two DSOs (in in 1945 and one in 1947). Is this correct? Anotherclown (talk) 03:37, 24 December 2009 (UTC)
- I've reworded it now. Anotherclown (talk) 05:16, 24 December 2009 (UTC)

This item from the Grafton NSW Daily Examiner might be of help: [1]. I got it from HighBeam Research.--S. Rich (talk) 22:47, 11 January 2013 (UTC)
Also, his wife wrote a bio. OCLC 787542811 --S. Rich (talk) 22:52, 11 January 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks, I've added a bit on that. Cheers, AustralianRupert (talk) 08:00, 12 January 2013 (UTC)
3RAR Ass'n
Mrs. Green is active in The Third Battalion Royal Australian Regiment Association (Corp) in Brisbane, QLD and is a veterans advocate, as I understand from the regimental journal. Is this worthy of note in this article ? Duty First sends "Tommo" Tjlynnjr (talk) 19:53, 20 May 2014 (UTC) .
- Well, the RAR Assoc. is at http://www.rar.org.au/AboutUs.html . But do they have any biographical material on Hercules? Such material might help. As for Mrs Green, her own activity (other than writing the book) is not really pertinent to the article. – S. Rich (talk) 20:15, 20 May 2014 (UTC)
- Gday Mate, 3RAR Ass'n in Brisbane not RAR Ass'n. You got the wrong association. Our web site went crook years ago. I don't reckon anyone called him Hercules...just "Boss" or "Charlie" or do you refer to Charlie's father ? The mention of her activities would have only been a sentence or two. Thought it might be nice addition. She's very nice lady from what I hear, seen her a few times, but have never met or talked to her. Duty First Tjlynnjr (talk) 07:57, 22 May 2014 (UTC).
- Understood. I actually looked at 3RAR via at RARA's link page. The 3RAR page did not have much, so I decided just to post the other link. But Mrs. Green is featured in a news story from the ABC. That is a good source to add info about her. – S. Rich (talk) 15:08, 22 May 2014 (UTC)
- Gday Rich, Thanks for that info, I didn't know that 3RAR was there at the RAR site. 3RAR had a nice website years ago, but it broke. Duty First Tjlynnjr (talk) 01:51, 23 May 2014 (UTC)
- Lads, Mrs Green died recently. There is a big memorial service at the Art Gallery of NSW this week. A profound loss to the veterans community. Enderwigginau (talk) 04:30, 19 January 2020 (UTC)
