Chicago Lifeguard Service - Direction of article[edit]

There is a lot of original research on this article, and because of that I find the quality to be in line with the Start-Quality rating.

I am going through much of the Chicago Park District's and City of Chicago's online resources to locate relevant sources.

Overall I would like to see the following changes in addition to sourcing the appropriate references;

  • Inclusion of the Junior Guard program in the wikipedia article.
  • Correction of the name of the wikipedia article and subsequent usage of the name. I find referring to the lifeguard service as "The Service" silly if not also incorrect.
  • Organizing the sections to better reflect the past history and current workings.

Some of my original research that I would like to see included after references are found include;

  • AED at all beaches (beach houses in 2017)
  • Gear lifeguards are issued as lifesaving equipment
