Welcome all editors of this, my first contributing article. Please feel free to submit more info on the subject. We haven't even scratched the surface! LOL -- Luckymama58
Truth, Lucky, there is sooo much more! -- Mariposa
Great photo of Albertson and Prinze, but is it public domain? We dare not violate copyright law, as the liability could really hurt this project. --Ed Poor
- I wrote to you on your talk page, but I can check into this. Any help on how would be greatly appreciated. -- Luckymama58
Given the nature of the work (a TV program) I think a thumbnail pic would probably be covered under US fair use doctrine. Assuming it is a screen-shot from the show and not the artistic work of a third party. Of course where you got it and any copyright info needs to be on that image's page. --mav
- I think some of these might be publicity shots for the show, but I have no idea to the identity of the owners, if there are any. Like I stated on Ed's talk page, these have shown up on Ebay and other websites for the show. I am not even sure where I got some of them anymore, since I have been gathering hundreds of photos in the past 18 months. -- Luckymama58
Do we really need ALL of these pictures? -- Zoe
- I guess not, I thought it would enhance the article for those who had never seen the show. Maybe it would simplify things if I eliminated all but the title shot, since that should be covered under the fair use doctrine.. What do you all think? Luckymama58
- Maybe just one shot of the two main stars? If we start putting tons of pics in the articles, copyright or not, it might get out of hand. :-) -- Zoe

- You have a valid point,Zoe, thanks... any other opinions? -- Luckymama58
Well I decided to take the easy way out of this debate and remove the pictures so as not to cause the site problems with the copyrights. (I really love this place and definitely do not want to cause any trouble.) I decided to include links to sites that have many great photos and more information. Let these sites worry about copyright issues. (That's right kids, this old lady is LAZY!!! LOL) -- Luckymama58 BTW feel free to delete the pages with the photos, since I don't know how! I only knew how to unlink them from the article.
I understand your paranoia in not wanting to do harm to the project and have a bit of it myself. Still; one small pic probably wouldn't hurt. But if you really want I will delete all of them. --mav
- I would still love to have one picture in the article, but which one? I really don't have the time to research the copyrights, truth be told. As I have stated in my bio, I am a school teacher and school is starting up. Boy, am I busy these days. LOL I will bow to your expertise and better judgement in this. I do appreciate your help and concern!

- Well, I'd like to see a picture showing Prinze, Albertson, and Scatman Crothers. Unlike most sitcom actors, these three were all well-known in show business before they joined the show.Ortolan88
- This is a great idea. I have a disk of pictures from the show digitally captured from the broadcasts. I have found a good one of all three and added that to the page. I hope this is ok now.

- I think the one picture you left is fine. -- Zoe
Gabriel Melgar
In case anyone's curious about Gabriel, last I heard, he's now 43, married w/ three kids, and is a teacher in the Glendale Unified School District(Glendale High?)...it also would be nice to add a picture of Gabriel here as well...Baldwin91006 16:57, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
Link to episodes?
Hi guys, I was wondering what you guys thought about linking to full episodes of Chico and the Man. I found some at AOL, but there are only 19 free episodes (there aren't any episodes to buy, but they just don't have the others), and you have to watch an advert before you get to watch the show. So, I am pretty new to this, so I figured I would ask you guys before I linked to them. Also, it looks like they have worked out the copyrights to the shows, but that you can only watch in the US.
Let me know what you think, if it would add to the page to have the link to the episodes.
Thanks for your help,

- A late response to the query (6 years late) but of course, linking to full episodes even back in 2007 would have violated Wikipedia copyright policy. 68.146.70.124 (talk) 12:06, 10 October 2013 (UTC)
Video or film format?
What was the production format for the series? I recall it being on videotape, however I recently saw one of the later episodes - where Ed discusses Chico having died - and it appears to have been shot on film. Did the series change format? 68.146.70.124 (talk) 12:08, 10 October 2013 (UTC)
