Ressurection Technique[edit]

Should this be placed in the list of jutsu? We're not placing Sasuke's lightning-composed sword, or similar abilities on their respective pages. I believe it should be removed until a new databook or upcoming chapter actually gives it a name. Sephiroth BCR 20:31, 17 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Chiyo's resurrection jutsu has more of an impact on the series than Sasuke's lightning sword, much like Hidan's curse jutsu. Remove it if you really want to though. ~SnapperTo 21:17, 17 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
If that's the current policy, then I'm fine with it. I merely wished for verification. My thanks. Sephiroth BCR 22:30, 17 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Merger[edit]

So, why does Chiyo need an article? The bulk of this is plot summary, and the entry she had on Land of Wind was more than adequate. Sasori, Hidan, and Kakuzu get articles because the explanation of their abilities is fairly lengthy. If Tobi were to drop dead before he ever displayed any abilities of interest, he wouldn't get an article. Chiyo has no abilities of interest, and hence doesn't need an article. ~SnapperTo 20:37, 31 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Since I take too long to type, it's been merged again. If that's reverted, however, I've got a head start on the discussion at least. ~SnapperTo 20:39, 31 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The only reason I can think of to justify Chiyo's article would be the blatant plot-device-ness of resurrecting Gaara. The battle with Sasori was to show how Sakura had changed, not introduce a new character. --Pentasyllabic 20:48, 31 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
NOW it is right! So, why I think she deserves an article? 'Cause she was one of the main characters of the Gaara Rescue Arc. The real purpose of the Arc was to show Sakura? Maybe, but the fact is that Chiyo was one of the main characters of that arc. She had importance to an arc, even if there's no much to say about her. And, even so, we have much more than TenTen! Of course, someday (or not) we'll have lots of info. about TenTen, but we don't have now, so why she deserves an article? And what about Zabuza and Haku? They also had little to say, but they were important in some arc. Not to mention Hidan! Much less than Chiyo until now - and a explaning of his ability could be done on the Akatsuki article - but he was IMPORTANT and that's what made a character worth of an article and not how much we can talk about him.
And stop this merge thing UNTIL we have a common opinion, this is ridiculous. And "uf, I had too long to type" is not a motive to continue this. If so, I needed more time to make the article ;] - Access Timeco 21:08, 31 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
With an ongoing series, it's difficult to determine what characters will and won't be important. Once a character dies, like Chiyo, a proper assessment can be made. For characters who are alive, like Tenten, your best judgment needs to be used. Tenten is a member of one of the primary teams, so it would stand to reason that she'll do something of significance at some point in time (though that really seems laughable). Also, more can be said about Hidan than Chiyo. Additionally, he is technically more important, seeing as he killed one of the "main" characters.
As for Haku, his article is more than a plot summary, as demonstrated by the length of his Background section. The same cannot be said for Zabuza, though where would he be merged to? He isn't a "minor villain". And, finally, there is a common opinion; 3 people don't think Chiyo needs an article, 1 doesn't. 3>1. ~SnapperTo 21:19, 31 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
That's not common opinion, is majority and majority is not always right, don't you people use the X > Y to believe you're right in next argues (is the second time this is used on this one). But, in this case, considering I am the only person that think the article should be keeped, is a lost case to me XP - Access Timeco 21:53, 31 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
