Notability

[edit]

This appears to be a vanity page. An as-yet unpublished costs specialist solicitor doesn't strike me as notable, especially when Michael Cook (as in "Cook on Costs") doesn't have an entry. JustIgnoreMe 18:34, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed, though this soicitor has a well-founded reputation as a bagbiter. I don't believe that is true of Cook. 70.231.243.55 02:40, 1 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No idea what you mean by "bagbiter" and watch out for the "biographies of living persons" policy. I know that I'm in danger of committing the old "I am the World" fallacy, but I've never heard of this gentleman, and I work in the same area of English law. The only external links are his own page at the firm for which he works and a single report of a case in which he represented the Defendant. I'd never even heard of Binch v Freeman until last week, when a Defendant negotiator raised it in Points of Dispute. This page was created by user:Ceperry who has made no other contribution to Wikipedia. Once I find an appropriate way to request the revertion of this article, I will. If his book were published, I would have no objections to him having his own wiki article. Indeed, I would encourage him to share his knowledge in what is a very specialised field. Screw it, I'm reverting this. He can put it back when he's published. JustIgnoreMe 19:27, 17 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
