Shall the article be renamed First to Eleven?

[edit]

As First to Eleven is the name they are most famous for with their Youtube covers, shouldn't the article be renamed to "First to Eleven"? Skimel (talk) 03:32, 2 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Right, it’s a complicated topic and this is coming from me, a big fan of the band who is biased, but I think they consider First to Eleven and Concrete Castles to be two separate things. I do think it’s fair for the article to mention both, but I’m not sure of the “also known as” moniker fits CenacusJones (talk) 18:09, 19 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

As a new fan of both First to Eleven and Concrete Castles, it seems to me that although most of the personnel are the same, they are two different bands, each worthy of their own Wikipedia page. First to Eleven continues to put out new cover videos each week uploaded to YouTube, while Concrete Castles is focused on putting out new original music.
I personally feel there should be a Wikipedia page for First to Eleven detailing all the songs they have covered with YouTube videos and their entire discography of releases of the covered songs as albums. The information currently on the Wikipedia page for Concrete Castles doesn't list any releases except for the original music they have put out as Concrete Castles.
Both bands are still putting out music on a regular basis, and they really should each have a separate Wikipedia page. 136.32.60.167 (talk) 23:24, 30 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@CenacusJones I definitely agree that it should be two separate pages, especially with F211 having a permanent fourth member listed on their YouTube's about page that is not part of Concrete Castles. But from what I gathered the history on this page is mostly regarding First to Eleven, which would make sense because that's the older of the two projects. Maybe the main article could be renamed to First to Eleven with Concrete Castles also linking here and there is a separate section for Concrete Castles. In that case, the discography would probably also have to be amended to include the F211 stuff, maybe again in different sub-sections or something. @Vossdamian My deeper issue with the matter is I don't think First to Eleven meets the qualifications for being "notable" according to the wikipedia guidelines. This is why I created the page as Concrete Castles to begin with. They are an original band signed to a label, while F211, while technically more popular, may not meet the criteria in WP:BAND CenacusJones (talk) 23:07, 4 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
