From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This is an organization established after the industry review conducted by the government for the benefits of the whole Hong Kong Construction Industry. It affects one of the major economic pillar in Hong Kong. I do not agree that it is not of significance to be included in the WIKI pages.

Conflict of Interest

Sorry I did not declare the conflict of interest beforehand.

I worked in the Construction Industry Council in Hong Kong since late Aug 09 this year in the Secretariat function. I have to explain my purpose of creating this article in the wiki. I was a civil engineer working in the industry for nearly 9 years. I am not aware of the CIC until I worked here. I also noticed that my friends in the industry are not aware of it and its importance as well. However, I think it is indeed doing something influential to the industry. The main reason that I and my friends were not aware is because we are not working at the policy setting level. But I am of the opinion that the voice from the working level is actually as important as the management level. Therefore, I think there is a need to make more people aware of the CIC and its role.

Creation of the article is NOT a result of instruction from the company and it is also NOT part of my job duty to promote the organization. Also, the content of the article was basically fact reporting and there is absence of personal opinions.

I hope my explanation would be acceptable to the administrators. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cichk (talkcontribs) 02:10, 30 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
