Merging Comments

[edit]

The only difference between a corn stove and a pellet stove is in the modifications each manufacturer wants to make to the stove. Usually just a stirrer and the fact that special venting is reccommended because of the acid content in corn.

But, there are both on the market, which begs the question; do they deserve a separate page?

I'm for transferring the information on this page into a Corn Stove specific site, and making this too general page into a redirected link. Furnaces and Boilers, should be relegated as a side note in both pages, and I think Pellet stoves (which are the most popular appliances) should be the main hub for all keyword links.

How do other feel about this idea instead of a straight merging? TheCrippledWerewolf 17:53, 14 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

There are a lot of differences between a corn and pellet stove since the fire of a corn stove is hotter and more acidic a regular pellet stove could very well be destroyed if you burn straight corn in it for an extended amount of time. I also think it is worth mentioning www.iburncorn.com as a leading source for corn stove users to get information about stoves from manufactures as well as other users, and it contains an extensive wiki on corn burning. --74.36.218.242 01:50, 18 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Pellet Stoves more specifically

[edit]

This info was pretty general, and basically focused on corn as a fuel, so I recently wrote a more detailed article on Pellet Stoves. The Title of this page should probably be changed to something more26 specific soon, and hopefully others in the field will help with the edits.

I also work for a place that sells multiple bio-mass, corn, and pellet heaters.

>>>I recently wrote a page on corn and pellet stoves and furnaces. I would welcome any discussion or inquiries regarding their use etc. I also reccomend the cornfuel group on Yahoo for further information and inquiries.

I work for a place that sells corn and pellet stoves, furnaces, and boilers. I think I'll include a picture in the article. Geekosaurus 00:08, 11 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
