[edit]

It said that cuttlebone was used for snails, and I think it may be vandalism, but then it occurred to me that it might be for raising snails for food like in France. If anyone knows about snails using cuttlebone, please add it back into the list of animals cuttlebone is used for.

Intentions

[edit]

Today, cuttlebones are commonly used as calcium-rich dietary supplements for caged birds, chinchillas, hermit crabs, reptiles, shrimp, and snails. These are not intended for human consumption.

This is poor grammar. Are we saying that caged birds, chinchillas etc. are not intended for human consumption, or that cuttlefish intended their bones to be used as a dietary supplement?
